Customer Reviews

"Un vrai diner comme il devrait tous etre."

- sebastien c.

"We loved the real old vibe of the diner. We've eaten a really good breakfast which was well needed after a rainy camping night."

- Peggy G.

"In a word.... RUSTIC. Our party of five stopped in for a late lunch. Coming from New Jersey where diners are a mainstay, we could be tough critics. We were pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered. We ordered two chese steaks with peppers and onions, two cheeseburgers, a turkey club, and a cup of soup. The soup was tasty, and everything else was exactly what we wanted. The rolls were fresh and nicely toasted. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The french fries were hot and crispy. The bar area (closed at the time) could use a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint."

"Our family has been coming to the Robin Hood Diner for over 40 years. It is an impeccable place run by the nicest most dedicated people. The food is beyond delicious and feels like home. We are grateful that we can always count on great food, service and such a warm and friendly place every time we are in Livingston Manor. Thank you Robin Hood family for always being there for us!!!"

"Loved it here! The place is very charming and the service was great. I came here with a few friends after camping and we really enjoyed it. I got the ham and Swiss omelette with a side of kielbasa (a meat from Poland) and it was amazing! My boyfriend is polish and his family often eats kielbasa and he said it was very well cooked and fresh. My friend mentioned the oatmeal was really good as well as the western and American omelette. Everything was very reasonably priced and the service was wonderful, we had a large party and the servers catered to us very well. Thank you for the great food after a long time camping ! Also just a tip, it's cash only so bring some with you."

"I'm writing this review for 2 reasons. I see hate and negative comments in this thread that DO NOT reflect my experiences at this establishment. I also find this place to be an absolute gem all run by one of the best families I've ran into ever. Jan Pekny is an absolute sweetheart. The pain she's had to endure recently has broken my heart and yet, she still pushes on to give people fantastic service as well as starting a beautiful fundraiser in honor of her beautiful son that has passed. People don't know what true heart and soul is when they see it. It lies here at the Robin Hood diner. It was a pleasure meeting her family all whom care so much about their business. The signs people speak of, are fun. It's the point. If you don't have even a shred of humor in your body, maybe go elsewhere. I can't wait to go back. Best breakfast I've had along with some of the best coffee as well. 2 times I've been to this please in the matter of 3 weeks all while I'm seeing terrible reviews that DO NOT reflect this establishment. I love these people and what they stand for and for what they're offering to their community. This diner deserves to live on forever. Don't hesitate to stop into this place that is overflowing with heart. While you're at it, ask one of these beautiful people how that diner came to be and I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face. I love the Robin Hood diner and the family that runs it! I can't wait to go back and enjoy the amazing food and company at the Robin Hood Diner!"
